Team Liberia is Headed to Rio!
The Liberian National Olympic Committee is proud to send two Liberian athletes to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Jeneiro, Brazil. Emmanuel Matadi and Mariam Kromah will carry the Liberian flag with honor and pride. Matadi was born in Monrovia, raised in Minneapolis and a graduate of Minnesota State University. Mariam was also born in Liberia, moved to Texas as a child with her family and is now a student-athlete at University of Southern Mississipi. Matadi will compete for Liberia in the 100m and 200m races while Kromah will compete in the 400m.
